How it works

Emmi-pet, with its unique and patented dental care system, is now setting a new trend for a completely new kind of dental cleaning and oral hygiene. It is gentle, motionless and does not involve brushing or any abrasive action! This revolutionary method is based on a globally unique patent – the Ultrasonic Piezo-Chip created by Emmi-dent. This Piezo-Chip sits in the head of the ultrasonic toothbrush and generates up to 96 million ultrasonic waves (air vibrations) per minute.

These ultrasound waves are then transferred, via the bristles of the toothbrush head, onto Emmi-pet's specially formulated toothpaste.

At this point 'micro bubbles' are generated, which react with the air vibrations and implode.

These implosions effectively eliminate and remove food particles, plaque and bacteria from within your pet’s mouth.

Emmi-pet effectively combats:

Gingivitis and periodontitis

Oral cavity diseases

Plaque and tartar build up

Bad breath

Customer review:

"I am so delighted with the outcome of the dental clean and would recommend it as money well spent. Louise was brilliant with them both. I have cleaned their teeth daily since puppies, but you can't prevent that build up of tartar, now I keep up the daily routine and they just get a treatment each time they come for a groom. It will save them both having to have a clean under General Anaesthetic at the Vets, in years to come." - Claudette

FAQ's

Does it hurt the dog?

No! The Ultrasound technology is completely painless. There is also no noise or vibration from the brush and the toothbrush just needs to be held against each tooth for approx 30 seconds, so no brushing or scrubbing is necessary, most dogs very quickly accept the process.

How quickly will I see a difference in my dogs teeth?

There is no definitive answer to this as it depends on the condition of the teeth at the start of the treatment. If the teeth have very heavy plaque deposits it may take around 10 treatments or more to see a difference, and your dog would need to have an intensive course of treatments initially to remove this.

If your dog only has a small amount of tartar buildup then you will see a difference more quickly, although this depends on how frequently you bring your dog for treatment.

This will all be discussed during your initial consultation.

What if my dog doesn't like it?

I would never force a dog to have the treatment, some dogs take a few sessions to learn to accept the brush, my own dog included! However, if I am unable to settle your dog to accept the treatment within a few sessions then I would discuss this with you and if we are unable to continue, any payments already made for future treatments would be refunded.

My dog doesn't have any tartar is it worth me having the treatment?

Yes! Prevention is always better than cure! The system kills bacteria in the dogs mouth which is the main cause of gum problems and plaque build up. By having regular sessions alongside your dogs regular groom you can help to prevent the tartar from attaching to the teeth and keep those pearly whites sparkling for years to come!
